5 ways to style a scarf as a hairstyle
If your trying to avoid the heat on your hair this summer or just trying minimize the heat on your hair, accessories will become your best friend. One in particular we’re highlighting is the infamous scarf. The scarf is so chic and effortless for any look and it can even help you when you’re rushing or just not in the mood to style your hair.
Here our five ways you style a scarf as a haistyle:
1. Turban with a top knot:
To complete this look grab a lengthy scarf of your choice. Start by folding the scarf into a triangle and tie it front the back of your head and twist the ends into a bun in the front of your head. You can secure this style with an elastic to last all day.
2. Bow headband:
Start just like the Turban top knot ,but once you have folded the scarf into a triangle start to fold it up until it’s in a long rectangle shape. Then tie the headband from the back of your head to the front. Once the headband is tied take the ends of the headband and make a bow to your desired style. The bow can be styled on either side of your head.
With the Turband style you will start just like the Bow headband. Once you have tied the ends at the top of your head , you will then pull them back and tie them once more to the back of your head.
4. June Ambrose Inspired
This look can be accomplished by placing the scarf from the back of your head like, you are drying off your hair with a towel, but taking the two ends of the scarf and tying them to the front of your head. Once they are secured you then will twist the rest of the scarf in a knot to the back of your head. The excess that is left you simply tuck it inside the scarf.
The last style can be accomplished by placing the head wrap again from the back of your hair like you are drying your hair with a towel. Bringing the rest of the scarf to the front, twist the scarf around the front of your hair and secure it with an elastic. This style can be worn in the front of the head or to the back of your head.
