At Home Beauty Treatments You Must Try!

Many times we would rather be home than deal with the hassle of setting, waiting and not being happy with our beauty appointments. In a perfect world, we would be able to style our own hair or enjoy a nice facial in the comfort of our own home. Well there is no such thing as a perfect world, but you can try theses fun and easy beauty treatments below at home and hold off on the amount of time you spend in the salon or spa.

Hot Oil Treatments

Grab your oils because you’re going to need them for this warm and moisturized hair treatment! You can mix castor, coconut, olive, almond and even avocado oil together for hot oil treatments to seal and lock in moisture (or you can use 1 or 2 oils). While your hair is damp, warm the oils on the stove (microwaving oils will allow them to lose their nutrients). Use your hands or an oil bottle to apply the treatment into your scalp. Once in, massage your scalp, place a plastic cap on, sit back and relax for 30 minutes!

Berry and Yogurt Mask

Women have always used face mask to hydrate, moisturize and clear their skin. Unfortunately, many masks can have horrible chemicals which can cause breakouts to those with sensitive skin. With that being said we want you try the Berry-Yogurt Mask! With a handful of mixed berries (raspberries, black berries, blueberries and strawberries), plain yogurt, honey and lemon (just a teaspoon of both) your face will be hydrated and radiant from this natural at home face mask

Foot Scrub

Not everyone can get to the spa every week for a much needed foot scrub, but we are here to help! Theses foot scrub tips from Mother Nature Network are what we live for after a long week on our feet at the office or school. Grab 1 cup of sugar, coconut (or olive) oil and peppermint oil from your local grocery store. Mix until the scrub is grainy. You can slip this into your own personal bottle or mix it fresh every week!

Self-waxing!

gigiWaxing can get a bit expensive when you’re looking to wax more than one spot. A trip can cost at minimum of $35 for facial waxing and let’s not get started on other body parts! There are many products from cream hair removals to hot waxes. Our favorite, and great for sensitive skin, is Gigi’s Facial Honee Wax which you can grab at Sally’s Beauty Supply!
